Client: Personal Injury Law Firm
Challenge: The firm was looking for a way to track information about each case (including the plaintiff, legal advisors, and insurers), as well as a means for storing and categorizing a large amount of paper documents for each case. Because the firm works on contingency, they also needed a tool for tracking expenses for each case along with the applicable payout when the case was resolved.
Solution: P2Automation developed a Legal Case Management System built on Microsoft Access / SQL Server that now has a SQL Azure back-end database, along with a direct connection to the document repository which is stored locally and replicated in the Cloud. The system also generates data files for both Microsoft Word and WordPerfect, which are used to process mail merged documents.
