Customer Service in the Metals Industry – Part 5

In our last video, we demonstrated how to create a Vendor Claim Request to recover costs from suppliers when issues arise. But what happens when the issue is internal—such as a processing error a company-owned plant? Our CRM Case module makes it just as easy to submit Plant Claim Requests, ensuring internal costs are tracked separately while maintaining a streamlined claims process.

With a few clicks, users can create a New Plant Claim Request, select the responsible plant, and choose the affected items. The system automatically generates a claim number and prepopulates only the essential fields, simplifying the process for internal teams. While vendor claims require more detailed financial tracking, plant claims focus on internal accountability—without unnecessary complexity.

Like vendor claims, plant claims include a one-click Plant Claim Request Document, making it easy to document the issue for internal reporting. Once submitted, claim amounts are automatically calculated and displayed within the Case Detail section, providing full visibility into cost recovery efforts.
