This is Steve Pestillo from P2 Automation. In a previous video, we showed you a better way to qualify a lead. Here we’ll show you a better way to disqualify a lead.

If you’re using the full Dynamics 365 product as we have here on this screen, disqualifying a lead involves clicking the Disqualify menu and choosing a reason. Here in our production environment, it’s similar. We’ll click the Disqualify button, and you’ll be presented with those same reasons, and then a custom reason that we added, as well as a description of why this was disqualified.

And if your business process is different, we can add additional fields or remove fields. For example let’s say you lost this because you don’t sell the type product, let’s say you’re in the metal industry, and somebody’s interested in a certain alloy. But you don’t sell that alloy. We could provide you with a list of things you don’t sell. Why would we do that? Because if you get enough requests in your disqualifying leads for a certain alloy, you might want to start selling that alloy. You’ll never know if you don’t collect that data. Or perhaps you lost it to a certain competitor and you know that. You could put that down as well. The point is we can make this match your current business process, so you don’t have to change the way you work to fit your software.

When you’re done click OK, and the record will be disqualified and set to read only, the same way it works in the full Dynamics 365 product. And if you want to reactivate the lead for whatever reason, you can click this button right here. Pretty simple!
