P2 Tags – Introduction to P2 Tags

This is Steve Pestillo from P2 Automation. Over the years, I’ve been asked several times, “Is there a way to tag certain records?”

For example, maybe you have a list of contacts, and you want to send a holiday card to those people. Well you may want to put a marketing list together for that. But what if that marketing list also includes leads and vendors? Well marketing lists doesn’t work for vendors, so that won’t work. Or what if you’re not using the full Dynamics 365 product? Then you can’t use marketing lists at all. Or maybe you want to put a list together of your former clients because you want to invite them to a special that you’re offering. Well what’s a former client? It could be anybody that bought product in the past, let’s say three years. But maybe you don’t want to extend that to everybody. For whatever reason, our clients are looking for a simple way to tag these records.

So we created the P2 Tags feature. With this feature, I can go into any record that we’ve configured, so let’s say it’s an account, and I want to tag it. I could just go here and select the tag. These people are interested in the Power Platform. And maybe the company is also a candidate for the Holiday Party. It’s as simple as that.

And as I mentioned, we can use the P2 Tags feature on contacts, or leads, or vendors, or pretty much wherever you need it. And it works the same way. This short miniseries will show you all the different ways you can take advantage of the P2 Tags feature in your business.
